Game character in terms of characterisation and true character.
Characterisation:
Includes all the outward qualities of the character, for example;
Physical appearance, mannerisms, style of speech and gesture, sexuality,
age, IQ, occupation, personality, attitudes, values
True character:
Is what lies beneath the outward qualities. True character ʻcan only
be expressed through choice in dilemma. How the person chooses to act
under pressure is who he is - the greater the pressure, the truer and deeper
the choice to the characterʼ The choices the character makes and how they
react to the conflict presented in the story are referred to as true character.
True character is closely aligned to the function of the character within the game
the character is the choices he/she makes.
